An established company based in George, urgently seeks to hire a Code EC (old Code 14) Truck Driver.
Duties:
Collections & Deliveries of materials, equipment, poles, between yard, site and within town
Operating crane, incl. cherry picker (man basket)
Assisting with installation of cable
Assisting with installation of mini sub & mini sub plinth
Assisting with planting of poles
Assisting with erecting of overhead lines
Truck & Equipment maintenance (incl cleaning & storage)
Timesheets & Job Cards
Handling Logbooks
Ordering of diesel
Ordering of truck & crane parts when needed
General Yard Work
Minimum Requirements:
Valid Code EC (old code 14) license
Valid PDP license
Valid Operator Certificate for Crane Minimum weight: 6100kg
English literate (Read, Write, Speak)
Minimum Grade 10 qualification
2 5 years working experience as a truck driver
2 - 5 years working in a Technical/Mechanical Environment
Good health & physically fit
Sober habits (no prior history of excessive drinking)
Willingness to work long hours/overtime/weekends
Positive attitude
Neat & Responsible
Safety conscious
Must be able to work with and without supervision
Punctual & good time management skills
