Technical Buyer

*Our client is specialist machine builder in the wire and welding industry.* *Over the years, they have grown from a family business to a globally recognised brand.* *Main job function * Experience in sourcing of cnc machined parts, fabrications, laser-cut and bent parts. *Qualifications * Relevant technical qualification (CNC Programmer, Artisan etc.)   *Experience/Criteria * Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with suppliers. Commercial and Financial awareness. 10 years of proven technical procurement experience. Experience in sourcing of cnc machined parts, fabrications, laser-cut and bent parts. Knowledge and understanding of complex manufacturing drawings. Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing tolerances and manufacturing capability, and the ability to measure and evaluate conformance on site prior to acceptance. Knowledge and understanding/implementation of a concession and ECP/ECR/CIR process. Knowledge and understanding of material types, heat treatment and coating processes.
