Mustek: Production Supervisor

The production supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the production of quality desktops, servers and notebooks are completed on time and in a cost-effective manner.

Specification

• Assist in managing the production team daily.
• Stand in for the production manager as and when necessary.
• Planning and organising of daily production schedules / orders.
• Overseeing of the daily operations and processes on the production line.
• Assessing project and resource requirements.
• Determining quality control standards.
• Monitoring production output and costs, and adjusting processes and resources to minimise costs.
• Taking accountability and responsibility for the overall management of stock within these areas.
• Assist in the management of a successful team and help ensure staff competency according to performance evaluation plans.
• Assist to guide, direct and oversee the department aligned with overall strategy and objectives.
• Identify and timeously address problems and opportunities central to business/production success.
• Assist to plan, select, develop and maintain suitable manpower capabilities for the Department.
• Help to develop and maintain a high-performance team.
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders.


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
• Matric
• CompTIA A+
• Tertiary qualification would be an advantage
• Min of 1 year supervisory or management experience in a technical (IT) production environment
Skills and Knowledge:
• Ability to accurately prepare and submit reports, maintain records.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Project Management skills.
• Good knowledge of general administrative and internal processes.
• Knowledge of ICT industry.
• Thorough knowledge of good customer service.
• Good knowledge of company QMS and H&S systems.
