Electrician (Solar)

A position has become available for a *Electrician (Solar)* to join our dynamic team. Work closely with the Project Manager (Solar) on solar energy projects, installing, and connecting solar panels and inverters and other high-voltage equipment to the building’s power supply, delivering an electricity solution to customers. * Fluent in English * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Interpersonal relationship skills * Self-management * Planning and follow through of all work related activities * Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions * Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently * Accurate and precise attention to detail * Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels * Goal-oriented, organized team player * Strong technical knowledge * Knowledge of PV Solar industry * Strong project management skills and ability to meet project deadlines(time and budget) * Lead in Solar PV design, analysis and project management * Machinery maintenance, servicing and new installations Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Carry out installations of solar PV systems, including electrical wiring, mounting of inverters and panels. * Conduct site visits to ensure all pre-installation requirements are met * Monitor and assess quality of Solar PV installation carried out. * Remain up-to-date with requirements and best practice relating to solar PV design and installations and implement changes when necessary to ensure installations meet standards. * Help develop documentation, manuals and best practice guidelines * Adhere to all OHS/W requirements * Lead in Solar PV design, analysis and project management * Work alongside project engineers, master electricians, project managers and contractors * Qualify analyze, develop and oversee the construction of renewable energy projects * Coordination, implementation, execution, control of projects from inception to completion * Installation, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and servicing of electrical systems * Diagnose electrical faults and provide excellent customer service * Carry out electrical installation inspections, testing and issue COC's * Observing health and safety guidelines * Grade 12 Post School : Qualified Electrician (N6/ National diploma in electrical Engineering) * Successfully trade tested * Red Seal certified 3 phase wireman’s license  * Valid Unendorsed Code 08 Drivers License * Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work PLC troubleshooting and maintenance is an added advantage Experience  * Minimum 4 years’ experience Market Related * Grade 12 Post School : Qualified Electrician (N6/ National diploma in electrical Engineering) * Successfully trade tested * Red Seal certified 3 phase wireman’s license  * Valid Unendorsed Code 08 Drivers License * Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safet
