The sucecssful candidate should have a Technical Diploma/Degree with at least 5 years experience within the mining and construction industry.Duties & ResponsibilitiesJob RequirementsReliability StudiesStays abreast with standards, policies & procedures, systems and techniquesFormulates and maintains policy and procedures for the development of a reliability centered programEngages with customers regarding needs, requirements & type of studies requiredDevelops data gathering methods, tools and proceduresConducts reliability investigationsBased on analysis provides possible focus areas for the resolution of problems or for purposes of improvementAssists with Machine Condition Assessments with regard to methods and required documentationAssists with the update of service schedules for OperationsConducts FMEA analyses (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)Provides input into the effective stockholding of spares/parts/componentsProvides advice with regard to preventative strategies for purposes of reliabilityMonitors procedures, data gathering techniques and processes and recommends changes if requiredMonitors trends and problems and proposes corrective actionChecks that processes are optimised and efficientConducts investigations/inspections or checking on-siteFacilitates the resolution of customer complaintsHighlighting risk areas and referring complex issues to leadershipInterprets reliability data and collates reports for use by customers and internal staffProvides insights based on analysisDrafts standard reports at set frequencies for monitoring purposesConducts comparative studies and analyses of competitor equipment & drafts reportsProvides input into Reliability Centered Maintenance strategies for customers and internal stakeholdersDesired Experience & QualificationMinimum RequirementsTechnical Degree/DiplomaMinimum 5 years experienceKomatsu product knowledge or knowledge of heavy earth moving equipment/mining equipmentSound technical track recordKnowledge of reliability data, systems and reportingHigh computer literac
