2023 Three-bike custom-made off-road/gravel-road motorbike/multi-purpose trailer.

This 3-bike off-road trailer was commissioned in 2023, for a foreign client, for a 3-month southern Africa overlanding trip. It performed faultlessly, towed behind a Hilux GD6.

It was built by a registered trailer maker in the Western Cape, and is currently licenced until the end of May 2024. It's very strong, and well made.

It's designed to transport 3 adventure bikes (two large on the outer channels, and one smaller bike facing backwards on the inner channel).

The hinged canopy protects the bikes from stone damage when towing on gravel roads, and is lockable. With 4 heavy-duty gas struts, it's easily opened or closed.

The canopy and tyre channels are removable, so the trailer is multi-purpose.

Specs:

- Rated to carry 2 200 kg.

- Tare is 660kg.

- 2.2 ton braked axle, with leaf-spring suspension.

- Large lockable storage box at the front.

- 2 spare wheels/tyres included (So, 4 tyres in total - Dunlop SP TrakGrip 4x4 215 R15).

- 2 lockable jerrycan holders on sides.

- An extra spare wheel/tyre can be mounted inside the trailer on the front wall.

- Exterior trailer components have been coated with a rubberised grey paint.

- Bike ramp included; this item is securely fastened to the inside of tailgate when not in use.

- Reflective tape and stickers for cross-border travel have been added.
