Pellet Mill Operator

Pellet Mill Operator - Uitenhage Sovereign, a national supplier of top quality poultry products to markets via various brands is seeking to employ a Pellet Mill Operator in the Agriculture division at its Feedmill in Kariega. The incumbent of this position will be required to effectively utilise the pellet mills to produce feed within specification. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.The successful incumbent should be in the possession of a matric certificate. A recognised qualification in production would be an advantage. Previous pellet mill operation and/or maintenance experience and a demonstrated mechanical aptitude would be advantageous.Critical Competencies and SkillsOperate the pelleting lines to produce feed to the required standards;Do the scheduled cleaning and inspection of the machinery used for the pellet mill production;Set and adjust the conditioners, pelleters, coolers, crumblers and aspiration;Assist Maintenance with breakdowns and perform maintenance on the machines;Conduct good housekeeping and adhere to the required health & safety standards;Adhere to all company policies and procedures relating to work, working conditions, discipline, SHE, BRC and administration;Report accurately and timeously on any problems that may occur during the course of carrying out normal duties to a person in authority for further action;Carry out any other reasonable instruction that Management might issue.Results RequiredKnowledge of production equipment, operation and maintenanceGreat attention to detailsHave a customer service orientated mindsetGood communication skillsAs Sovereign is an equal opportunity employer, preference will be given to applicants of designated groups, as defined by the Employment Equity Act.Appropriately qualified and experienced individuals should submit a detailed CV, copies of relevant certificates and a copy ID to the HR Team.
