A Nutritionist

Nutritionist - RandfonteinAstral is a leading Southern Africa integrated poultry producer and has the following vacancy: NutritionistDuties & Responsibilities·     Feed formulations;·     Manage the nutrition/technical department and on-site laboratory; ·     Product performance, quality and traceability including Salmonella program, sample management and Farm Feed Act; ·     Liaison with sales department, key customers, industry bodies and other stakeholders; ·     Ensure compliance with all quality procedures and all QA systems. Desired Experience & Qualification·     A minimum BSc Agriculture in animal nutrition (preferably Monogastric) and Post-graduate experience in nutrition would be an advantage; ·     Have a minimum of 2 years work experience, preferably in a managerial capacity; ·     Have a working knowledge and understanding of the FORMAT formulation system; ·     Computer literate with MS Office experience, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; ·     Good communication and interpersonal skills; ·     Assertive, self-motivated and quality driven; ·     Excellent analytical and numerical skills; ·     Personal and professional integrity; ·     Converse fluently in both English and Afrikaans; ·     A valid code 08 driver’s licence.
