Senior Farm Manager - Addo, Eastern CapeReference: PE000746-NV-1Our client is seeking a Senior Farm Manager to join their team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOpen position : Senior Farm ManagerLocation : AddoSalary : Market relatedType : Permanent positionReporting to : Production Manager  Job requirements :5-8 years’ experience at a middle management / senior management level in the citrus industry.Must be innovative and detail-orientedCapable of managing multiple and high-priority tasks.Strong analytical skills to interpret research data for reports.Ability to provide effective supervision and staff management.Ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Duties :Responsible for the crop estimation process: liaise with farm managers to obtain all information, consolidate information and link with Supply Chain to convey information for planning purposes. Continuously update information as estimation changes. Together with the Farming Production Manager and Packing Production Manager (where appropriate) Initiate; plan; coordinate and implement the:Fertilizer programSpray programPrune programNew planting when necessaryHarvesting plan – it is important that the Area Manager plays a strong leadership role to ensure that harvesting is happening as required.
