Description
Our Cape Town office is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist/Analyst to join our Digital Team. This Search Engine Optimisation Analyst will be responsible for analysing, reviewing and implementing websites optimised for search, along with developing content plans to include keywords or phrases for increased long-term site performance.

The SEO Analyst must have in-depth knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO site architecture, industry best practise methodologies, SEO audits and site optimisation. And a good understanding of the SEO limitations of the most common CMS platforms and workarounds.
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities:


Reviewing and analysing client sites for areas that can be improved and optimised


Preparing detailed digital strategic reports


Identifying powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic


Preparing detailed site audits with practical insights for improvements


Identifying particular site SEO limitations and workarounds


Analysing keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors


Staying abreast of all client site changes, errors and rollouts


Reporting skills and data analysis


YouTube campaign optimisation


Client presentation skills are a must


Supporting Digital Strategy with research, competitor analysis and campaign strategy


Key Requirements:


3 to 4 years’ experience in SEO (at agency level)


Understanding of Digital Marketing Best Practices


Prior experience in content marketing, content growth and SEO


Working knowledge of search engine optimisation practices


Working well in high pressure situations and thinking on the fly


Outstanding ability to think creatively and strategically along with the ability to identify and resolve problems


Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Ability to work within a team and independently


Experience with AEM, Hybris; Magento and Wordpress is an advantage


Expertise with Google analytics and Google AdWords


Google Analytics certified is an advantage


Strong organisational, time management, and analytical skills


Comfortable with MS Excel to manipulate data and create meaningful graphs


An understanding of HTML/CSS and JavaScript would be an advantage


Audit websites for SEO issues


Identify and resolve SEO issues


Performing competitive research, identifying what the client's competitors are doing right, what they're doing wrong, and how these tactics influence the client
