A fast growing Financial Services Firm based in Cape Town is looking for a young and ambitious CA(SA) or CFA seeking an opportunity to see high volumes of deal flow and and get up and close to the world of growth funding. The ideal candidate will need to be excited about building financial models, doing market research and providing in-depth insights into fast growth and exciting target companies. You will gain international deal structuring experience as all target companies are based internationally.
* Due diligence and underwriting of potential deal.
* Financial analysis, financial modelling, market-studies, portfolio company interviews and reporting.
* Analysing business plans and financial models of SMEs, with a specific focus on technology businesses.
* Manage risks and opportunities of portfolio companies which includes strategic decision-making, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, cash flow forecasting and cost control.
* Monitoring operational and financial performance as well as anticipating finance needs of investment portfolio
* Work together across teams to ensure deals are structured in the best possible manner
* Reporting to institutional investors on a quarterly basis and presenting credit committee investment proposals.
* Registered CA (SA)/CFA with 0 - 2 years post articles experience.
* Strong financial modeling skills.
* A keen interest in the SME, technology and e-commerce industries.
