OF PLACEMENT: PERMANENT CONTRACTLOCATION:
PORT ELIZABETH, PERSEVERANCE (3 ODDY PLACE) We are seeking an experienced Junior
Electrical Outfitter to join our team on a Permanent basis within the
Production Division of Legacy Marine in Perseverance. The successful candidate will
be responsible for the hands-on installation, assembly, setup of electrical
systems, and wiring. Working under the guidance of senior personnel, they will
ensure that wiring, panels, and equipment are installed safely and in
accordance with technical specifications. Key Responsibilities:• Install and wire bilge pumps,
navigation lights, GPS units, outboard motors, and outboard steering systems.• Fit
and wire all small accessories and batteries on vessels.• Perform
trailer wiring and work in confined spaces for wiring and component
installation.• Apply
marine rigging methods with solid knowledge and skill.• Interpret
drawings, diagrams, and installation procedures accurately.• Utilize
all shop tools, including electric, air, and hand equipment, effectively.• Demonstrate
strong measurement and mathematical skills.• Maintain
high standards of quality and accuracy in vessel production.• Use
appropriate safety equipment and maintain a clean, safe work environment.• Communicate effectively with
teammates and supervisors, maintaining a positive and proactive relationship.
• Follow oral and written
instructions accurately, working independently with Experience/
Qualifications/Certifications/Licences
• Minimum
of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Basic
electrical knowledge.
• Knowledge
of electrical systems and components commonly found on marine vessels.
• Familiarity with electrical safety
regulations and standards and adherence to safety requirements in a
manufacturing environment.
Package Offered
This position will attract a Market Related
salary according to qualification and experience gained.
