The camera has a built in flash. It will however need a new 6 volt lithium battery. It is a super user-friendly, well-built autofocus film SLR, perfect for beginners or those wanting direct controls (dials/buttons, no menus) like older SLRs, offering Program, Aperture/Shutter Priority, and Manual modes, 14-segment metering, 2fps continuous shooting, and good ergonomics. The rubber on the grip has been removed after it came loose and the external flash hot shoe mount is chipped but a mounted external flash will still fit.
