This is called overload and any damage is not covered under warranty..SURGE/LIGHTENING PROTECTION: We recommend you have SPDs (Surge Protection Devices) installed on your DB Board in order to get maximum protection against surge and lightening damage. Eskom surges are rife and surge protection plugs offer minimal protection. Surge/Lightening damage is not covered under warranty. WE ALSO RECOMMEND USING SOLAR (if applicable) OR GENERATOR AS A SECOND SOURCE OF CHARGE. LEAD ACID BATTERIES DO NOT COPE WELL WHEN THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO RECHARGE AND RECOVER PROPERLY AS CAN HAPPEN IN CONTINUOUS HIGH STAGE LOAD SHEDDING. BATTERIES WITH REDUCED RUN TIME WILL NOT BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY..If you do choose to use lead acid batteries please turn off the inverter when backup is not required (eg when you're in bed/away) to prevent unnecessary cycling.
