This role centres on real test equipment and a methodical process, tracing whether a problem is a bad connection, heat, interference, or unwanted noise. The team builds the hardware behind radar systems built to work reliably in everyday use.What makes this role genuinely rare is its scope. Full involvement across the hardware lifecycle, from early concept and circuit design through to mass production and shipping.This is an in-person role based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.Duties and responsibilitiesDesigning and developing analog, digital, and RF circuitry. Simulation, component selection, schematic capture, and guiding PCB layout.Verifying circuit and system performance by planning real tests, running them on real equipment, and building scripts to capture and present the data clearly.Working as a core member of a local hardware team embedded in a larger, multidisciplinary, multi-region product development effort.Partnering with manufacturing teams to define production and test strategy, so designs translate cleanly into volume manufacturing.Debugging circuits and finished products using structured, methodical problem-solving.Documenting designs, decisions, and test results thoroughly enough that someone else could pick up where you left off.Taking part in peer reviews and design evaluations as a genuine part of maintaining engineering quality.Working inside an agile, self-organizing team, responding to design challenges as they come up.
