Good dayI am a well trained , skilled and dedicated carer who was thoroughly trained at MarkLink Training Institute in Zimbabwe and graduated with a certified Certificate In Elderly Care including Advanced First Aid and CPR.I was attached for my voluntary work and later employment at a a Medical Center were I had a wonderful opportunity to nurse various needy patients who needed so much care and most had various chronic illness. The patients included, frail patients who were bedridden, patients who had Alzheimer's and dementia patients, patients in various cancer stages who needed highly critical care, post operated patients, patients with Parkinson and lupus illness etcI performed various duties which included:cleaning and sanitizing surfaces,Bed changing each morning and conducting full wash on various patientsMouth care, grooming and makeupChanging nappies, bedpan and assisting able patients to bathrooms for showerFeeding frail patients and cleaning afterChecking vitals on patients and properly recording the information Working along side nurses to make sure patients take correct medication on time and monitoring themMaintaining good companionship and helping with daily exercises and taking patients for walks etcI also worked in Midrand, Johannesburg when I came to South Africa as a Live in care giver and nursed their frail grandparent who had stroke and had sugar diabetes as well. I provided various duties from cleaning her room, changing her bedding every day, helping with bathroom activities, conducting fullwash, skin and mouth care.I also cooked healthy meals for, making sure she eats well and managed her insulin taking and other medications, checking her vitals always eg sugar, blood pressure and pulse. I managed her mobility around the house, from bed to wheel chair including taking her to doctors appointments and assisting with any errands necessary. etc.The patient was moved into a home in April 2025, but for reference, please do not hesitate to contact her daughter on 061 720 9127 for reference and recommendation.I moved to stay here in Cape Town and currently seeking another private patient care, either an everyday position on live in post as a care giver.
