This is a valuable antique. South Africa may not be a market for such an antique. England or America is where a Milner safe of this calibre gets the credit it deserves. Dating from the mid 1800s a Milner safe of this quality rates excellently against any modernly constructed safe with the added value that every year that goes by the Milner safe itself becomes more valuable than many of the things that people put into safes. I am selling this safe for R6 500 more for its value as an antique. I have seen Milner safes on Ebay priced way above what I'm asking and none of them have what this Milner has. Six lockable drawers on the inside of the safe with working locks and keys. I have seen just these locks without the keys selling for R1K each on auction. All the original brass Milner plates and key hole plates are in tact and in good condition. The safe comes with its original stand designed to support the safe which is as scarce as hen's teeth. The safe is large all dimensions on the illustration provided. My price is not negotiable and does not include delivery which is an extra R1 000 to anywhere in the Western Cape. This is for someone who has a love for things that are old and in short supply. When this safe is restored it will fetch above R30K. A lot of people have made offers but my asking price goes up not down.
