As a small, hands‑on team, we translate creative ideas into well‑made garments and are seeking an experienced artisan to join us in‑house.The roleYou will be the technical heart of production: cutting fabric, constructing garments, finishing trims and helping turn sketches and concepts into finished pieces. This practical role requires excellent fabric and pattern knowledge, strong machine skills, and a pride in fine workmanship.Key responsibilities- Accurately cut fabric from markers/patterns for samples and small‑batch runs- Sew and assemble garments to a high standard (seams, hems, linings, facings)- Apply and finish trims, fastenings and details (buttons, zips, topstitching)- Make and adjust patterns and samples; recommend construction improvements- Maintain and care for sewing machines and personal tools- Keep clear production notes and communicate progress- Perform quality control and final inspections- Support hand‑finishing, repairs and bespoke requests as neededRequirements- Proven experience in garment construction, pattern interpretation and small‑batch production- Strong practical knowledge of fabrics (grain, shrinkage, suitable techniques)- Confident machine‑sewing skills; experience with industrial machines an advantage- Artisan/tailor/cutter/handicraftsman background; able to work independently- Own basic tools (sewing kit, measuring tools); access to a sewing machine preferred- Hardworking, reliable, detail‑oriented and solution‑focused- Good communicator in English; additional languages a plus- Legal authorization to work in South AfricaDesirable- Portfolio or photos of previous garments/samples- Experience in sustainable/slow‑fashion production approaches- Willingness to contribute creative ideas for construction and finishesTerms- Contract role; hours and rate negotiable based on experience- In‑house attendance in Stellenbosch required (some flexibility possible)- Negotiable startHow to applySubmit a brief cover letter, CV, rate expectations and 4–8 photos of recent work or a portfolio. A renowned international FMCG company is looking for an “Senior Engineering Storeman” to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract basis based in Paarden Eiland. About the role: This role is responsible for the overall control of engineering stock (consumables, spares, new parts etc) and ensures that stock levels are maintained within authorized parameters. Ensures that there is sufficient stock to meet forecasted demand at the agreed service level. Liaises with relevant Managers on all matters relating to the requirements in terms of the supply of stock. Ensures the accuracy of the stock-holding by means of a planned cycle counting program. Requirements: • Planning and administrative skills • Practical experience within an Engineering Stores environment • Experience in material management. Budget and costing experience. • Engineering knowledge and skill. • Grade 12 / NQF4 • Valid driver’s license • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering Stores will be an advantage Technical Competencies & Knowledge: • SAP Material Management • MRP system Key Performance Areas: Controlling of the Engineering stores functions • Controlling the full process for drawing and issues of stock • Captures information is SAP and draws history reports as and when required • Captures service reports in SAP and ensures that the Planner receives these • Identify parts that will be required • Identify and check all stock purchased to ensure that it is correct • Manage the refurbished service exchange – ensure the repair and rotation of parts and equipment • Manages the quality inspection on all refurbished stock • Manage the store to ensure obsolete or redundant stock is sold or written off as and when required • Ensure that slow moving stock is managed and stored in the secondary store area Inventory control • Assisting Inventory manager with the full stock counting process monthly, quarterly and annually at financial year end or as required: • Slow moving items – monthly, 3 monthly etc • Fast moving items – weekly Cost Control and Budget • Provide comment and explanation for all increases and decreases in stock levels • Contain costs and control budget • Control the critical spares/A Indicators and report on the monthly cost analysis to Head of Engineering and Finance Manager Competencies: • Thinking rationally • Thinking conceptually • Maintaining productivity • Taking initiative • Attention to detail • Articulating information • Minimizing risk • Being self-assured Applying for this position: Only open to South African citizens. Electro-Mechanical Technician We are looking for a skilled and reliable Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our factory maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production machinery, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and ensuring that equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimise downtime. This role suits a hands-on technician with solid experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or factory environment.
