SMC Pentax-M 1:2 50mm Vintage Camera

The SMC Pentax-M 1:2 50mm is a highly regarded, compact manual focus lens produced by Asahi Optical Co. (Pentax) between 1979 and 1985. It was primarily designed as a "kit" lens for the smaller M-series SLR cameras, such as the Pentax ME, ME Super, and MX, though it works on all Pentax K-mount cameras. Key Characteristics: Lens Formula: 5 elements in 5 groups. Aperture: f/2.0 to f/22, with a 6-blade diaphragm. Coating: Super Multi-Coated (SMC) for high contrast and reduced flare. Weight/Size: Very light and compact, weighing roughly 138g to 165g depending on whether it is the later plastic or earlier metal barrel version. Filter Thread: 49mm. Minimum Focus: 45cm (1.5 ft).
