PURPOSE OF THE JOB To plan, organise and control production to ensure goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to the required standard. To help to achieve the companys sales turnover and profit targets by on-time delivery.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Ensure that jobs are manufactured correctly, cost effectively and delivered on time in accordance to draught specifications and quality requirements.Communicating with all the relevant people/departments and co-ordinate all relevant inputs(people, machinery and processes) to ensure production output and on-time delivery targets are met.Ensure the production departments have sufficient time to manufacture and deliver on time according to customers request.Planning, scheduling and reviewing workload to ensure production output and on time delvery targets are achieved cost effectively.Manage customer order requirementsPre-plan production and deploy a daily prioritised work schedule to the shop floor with appropriate time deadline targets.Set, monitor and review work load schedule in line with Plant efficiencies.Adjust the production schedule as required and communicated any change to delivery date with customer.Monitor and review manufacturing operations to ensure correct quality standardsEnsure that all production related activity is time and cost efficientIdentify plant and equipment that has to be maintained and repaired by Maintenance and Tooling Dept.Ensure rejected product / non-conformance is rectified as high priority and that customers are kept informed accordingly Ensure that shop floor has the necessary manpower, competence, skill, knowledge, plant and tooling.required in order to achieve production targetsEstablish goals and objectives for self and team and implement accordingly to improve job performance.Be aware of and promote manufacturing best practice and performance standards.Develop and monitor performance / productivity standardsIdentify individual training needsMonitor, review and address staff under performance, maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company proceduresConduct and record annual performance appraisalsLiaise with Human Resources Manager to address any recruitments, performance, disciplinary and grievance needs.Ensure that the stocks in and out are well organised and adequately resourced to sufficiently support production and the goals of the businessEnsure that incoming product is processed and managed appropriately according to company procedure.Ensure that materials are ready and available for https://www.jobplacements.com/Jobs/P/Production-Manager-1177521-Job-Search-5-14-2025-11-31-10-AM.asp?sid=gumtree
