Job Purpose: To provide visible patrolling on sites, immediate armed reaction, incident management and operational support for critical services that support the operations of Combined Private Investigations and to ensure that all matters are addressed in a prompt, efficient, and professional manner.
Minimum requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF level 4).
PSIRA Registered (Minimum Grade C).
Firearm competency.
Exceptional telephone etiquette and communication skills.
One (1) to three (3) years Armed Response experience.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Armed Response

React immediately to all relevant alarms of Combined Private Investigations or its clients.
If the alarm is positive, assess the situation and keep the Control Room informed at all times of any new activity.

Perform arrests on any intruders or other offenders, they are to be kept in your custody.

Liaise with the SAPS, management and other relevant parties to ensure that the suspects are handed over to the SAPS in a lawful manner.
Ensure that the response times are according to the stipulated SOP’s.
React immediately to situations where any member of the public’s life is in danger.
Ensure the safety of all members (this includes the public) by checking premises thoroughly.
Take detailed notes of all activity at the crime scene, take photos and conduct a full investigation on the scene.
Report back to the Control Room regarding the request for response.
Conduct client reconnaissance as and when required.
Execute waylay operations as and when required.

2. Reporting:
Record all incidents in the Occurrence Book (OB) with full details as prescribed in the Standard Operating Procedure as well as to HOD: Investigations and Intelligence.
Do a proper hand over at the end of each shift in the Occurrence Book (OB) as per the Standard Operating Procedure.
Ensure that the firearm and vehicle is handed over according to company policies and procedures.
Ensure that weekly reports are completed and submitted to the relevant personnel in time.
Ensure that monthly reports are completed and submitted to the relevant personnel in time. Ensure that the following information is included:
Sites that were not secured.
Alarms and cameras activated.
False alarms.
True / positive alarms and outcome thereof.
Inform the relevant parties of any discrepancies; follow up actions taken and the progress thereof.


3. Site checks:
Do regular site inspections (Daily) and ensure to cover all the vulnerable areas.
Ensure visibility at standoff points and during area patrols.
Conduct continuous patrols during the duration of the shift, patrols must be done effectively to ensure a visible security service to curb crime.
Ensure that suspicious activity is reported to management at all times.

Requirements:
-Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
-Own reliable transport essential
-Valid PSiRA Grade C Certificate
-Valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate
-PFTC (Professional Firearm Training Certificate) statement of results
-Valid South African ID
-Driver’s License
-Matric qualification preferred

Minimum Requirements

• PSIRA Grade A Certification (essential).
• 5+ years in a security management role, preferably in residential/property management.
• Experience managing security contracts and providers.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and emergency procedures.
• Valid drivers license.
• Tertiary qualification in Security Management (advantageous).
• Risk assessment and incident response capability.
• Ability to manage projects and security audits effectively.

• 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of SDWAN
• Design SDN and LAN.
• Implementing and testing SDN solutions that optimize, secure and manage data across connected networks.
• Data Network fault investigations and analysis and the implementation of resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete all assigned service calls, installations, takeovers, and linkups within the allocated time frame set by the Alarms Administrators.
• Communicate promptly with management if time constraints affect job completion, ensuring clients are informed and rescheduled accordingly.
• Ensure that all work complies with SAIDSA Bylaws 25 & 1-6 and company standards.
• Maintain professional communication with the Control Room and Alarms Administrator regarding job progress, movements, and any delays.
• Address any client complaints, excessive false alarms, or control room communication issues due to poor workmanship in your own time.
• Redo any incorrectly completed work at your own cost if using company time, including fuel reimbursement for unnecessary travel.
• Adhere to company policies and code of conduct at all times.
• Report any damaged/broken equipment or furniture at a clients premises to the Alarms Administrator immediately.
• Identify and report non-compliant equipment or incorrect placements on-site to ensure the client is informed and necessary corrective measures are taken.
• Follow the standard practice of installing clockwise detectors in ceilings during all service calls and report if one is missing.
• Ensure completion of assigned work and communicate any obstacles preventing completion to the Alarms Administrator immediately.
• Comply with all work instructions, memos, and manuals related to the role, including reading, understanding, and signing the H2BAT (How to Be an Alarm Technician) manual.
