For sale is this beautiful Córdoba Esteso Master Series guitar, spruce top version, handcrafted in Mexico. The instrument is in excellent condition, as seen in the photos. This guitar has been rarely played, and includes its original case, where it has been stored for most of its life. This guitar came to my position in a part-exchange deal however I do not play and can never find the time to learn, so I believe it would be better appreciated by someone who can truly enjoy and make use of it. The guitar can be viewed in Sea Point.This guitar features a solid top, paired with solid Palo Escrito rosewood back and sides, a tonewood prized for its striking figure, light weight, and powerful projection. Its lightweight, petite body (13 ¾” lower bout) with a full 650mm scale length and 52mm nut width offers both comfort and authentic classical playability.Premium details include a Spanish cedar neck with African ebony fingerboard, flamed maple binding, pearloid rosette, and a hand-applied nitrocellulose finish. Córdoba faithfully incorporated Esteso’s 5-fan bracing pattern, while adding discreet modern upgrades such as a truss rod, geared tuning machines, and non-gut strings for durability and ease of maintenance.The result is a guitar with a balanced, resonant voice, rich projection, and a truly authentic Esteso character, light in the hands, yet full of volume and expression.Córdoba carefully studied two original 1931 Esteso guitars to capture the essence of their tone and feel, making this model not just an instrument, but a continuation of Spanish guitar-making history.This Córdoba Esteso is a handcrafted tribute to one of Spain’s legendary luthiers, Domingo Esteso.
