Job Description:To ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of ready-mix concrete trucks, batching plant equipment, and associated machinery in order to minimize downtime and support continuous production. Education and Experience:Grade 12/ MatricTrade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Mechanic or equivalent (Advantageous)Proven experience working with ready-mix concrete trucks or heavy commercial vehicles and Batching plants or similar industrial equipmentSound knowledge of Diesel engines, Hydraulics and pneumatics, Electrical fault-findingAbility to work independently and under pressureValid driver’s license (Code 10 or Code 14 advantageous)Willingness to work overtime and attend breakdowns when required Responsibilities:Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on:Ready-mix concrete trucksBatching plant equipmentDiesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform effective repairsConduct scheduled preventative maintenanceInspect vehicles and plant for safety, reliability, and complianceMaintain accurate maintenance and repair recordsAttend to breakdowns on-site and in the field as requiredEnsure workshop tools and equipment are properly maintainedAdhere to health, safety, and environmental standardsCommunicate equipment status to drivers, plant operators, and supervisorsIdentify required parts and assist with stock control Competencies/ Skills:Concrete batching systems and control panelsWelding and basic fabrication skillsComputer literacy for maintenance reportingKnowledge of transport and road regulationsExperience in construction or industrial environmentsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving abilityEffective time management and Safety-conscious approachPhysically fit for workshop and site-based workAble to work in dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments

Job PurposeThe Spray Painter will be responsible for preparing, priming, and spray-painting Putzmeister machinery, components, and equipment to ensure a high-quality finish that meets company and industry standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our brand reputation for durable and aesthetically excellent products. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces of machinery, components, and assemblies for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.Apply primers, base coats, and topcoats using spray-painting techniques to achieve the required finish.Mix paints, coatings, and materials according to specifications, ensuring correct color matching and consistency.Conduct inspections to ensure surfaces are properly prepared and paint applications meet Putzmeister quality standards.Maintain spray-painting equipment, spray booths, and tools in good working order.Identify and report any defects or quality concerns during the painting process.Ensure compliance with company safety policies, PPE usage, and health and safety regulations.Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and assembly teams to ensure deadlines are met.Keep accurate records of paint usage, stock levels, and maintenance activities. Key Requirements QualificationsMatric / Grade 12 (essential).Trade Certificate / Relevant Spray Painting Qualification (advantageous).Training in automotive or industrial spray-painting techniques is highly desirable. ExperienceMinimum 35 years experience as an industrial spray painter, preferably in heavy machinery, construction equipment, or automotive manufacturing.Experience working in a high-volume production environment will be advantageous.
