The PC version of the game was independently developed from the Xbox 360 version and is, besides the storyline, almost completely different and much more tactic-oriented. The 360 version is played from a third-person perspective and has a fewer multiplayer maps (and game modes). With the more action-based approach, there are no individual orders and a limited amount of team order (4 compared to 8 in the PC version). Players also cannot pick up enemy weapon or use stationary turrets. The game’s planning phase is entirely linear, while in the PC version players can plan dynamic insertion points. There are less classes and the tactical map is limited, using wire-frame instead of a full 3D map. Compared to the 360 version, the PS3 game supports the SIXAXIS control, and adds extra multiplayer maps, 8 new weapons in quick mission mode, and two new co-operative multiplayer modes. The rewards are organized in three strike packages: Assault, Support, and Specialist, each with new options and perks as they are unlocked. Along with this game the Call of Duty: Elite service is introduced, a service that tracks player statistics and has social networking and smartphone integration. What follows is a platforming, sliding style of gameplay as he paints the world these various colours. Another first for the series is a competitive multiplayer mode, where up to two Blobs fight to paint the world quickest, and accrue points in doing so. The game can also be played cooperatively with the character Pinky who provides assistance. Compared to the previous title there are more types of enemies, power-ups and the game runs in a higher resolution. Blob has a new dash attack to kill enemies and break through obstacles at the expense of paints points. Upgrades can be purchased by gathering inspiration points, including better defence and the ability to carry more paint. The power-ups turn him into a wrecking ball, provide unlimited paint of all colours or a hazmat suite, or transform the character into a black hole. There is more emphasis on the platforming elements. Blob can enter buildings where the game turns from 3D to 2D. Different platform challenges need to be completed before a building is fully taken. Ezio must follow in the footsteps of his spiritual mentor, Altaïr, to lead him to discovery and revelation. The game follows the series’ open world gameplay. Though in this game there’s a new addition, an item called the hookblade, which is used to zip-line across the city or grab enemies to yank them in for a combo attack. The hookblade speeds up navigation around the city by around 30%. As well as the hookblade, Enzio has hundreds of different bomb variations that he can use, which are crafted. The game also added and expanded upon the seizing districts of the city from the Templars. While capturing a district is really similar to Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, the Templars will try to capture it back. Enzio must defend the districts captured by using a tower defense minigame, where he controls assassins from rooftops against waves and waves of Templar soldiers and siege equipment. The game is playable in 3D across all platforms, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, with the console versions being able to support both stereoscopic 3D mode for 3D TVs and 2D for HDTVs. All Revelations gameplay and cinematics also have S3D support. Multiplayer is also present. The mode expands upon the basics of online modes from Brotherhood with new characters and locations. Players can customize their appearance and weapons, additionally they can start a guild and create a unique coat of arms. Matchmaking and user interface also have been improved. As well, players level up in the multiplayer game, and when they do, they move up in their Abstergo Templar rank and gain access to more information about the company. New multiplayer modes are added to the already existing ones, including “story oriented quests”, as well as Capture the Flag. Some multiplayer maps are based on the island of Rhodes. All the while competing to the same goal with their ex partner, Rafe, who teamed up with Nadine Ross, the leader of a mercenary outfit known as Shoreline. The gameplay style and chapter based singleplayer story presentation follows the path of its predecessors, with some additional features such as grappling hook which allows Nathan to climb, rappel, or swing across a chasm, and even combine that to take out enemy soldiers. Any tall grass can be used to hide and take out nearby mercenaries in a stealth manner. During cutscenes, Nate is sometimes given an option how to reply which does not affect the overall story but changed the conversation path or the outcome of a given even scene. In this game, a big emphasis is given to vehicles such as boats or cars, which can be driven around and even used to take out enemies blocking your way or pursuing you. During regular cover based combat, you can now mark enemy combatants to remain visible even when behind cover. After beating the game, there are lots of unlockables on which the player can spend earned points, from various artwork to new character outfits and different video modes.
