Hi my name is AnneI am a warm, caring, compassionate woman with loads of patience. I am a qualified home-based carer with over 10 years of experience and also qualified in First Aid. I am not qualified to take care of terminally ill patients.I would like to work in Cape Town.I have my own transport. If you want to interview me we can have a video call meeting.I believe in treating elderly and sick people with dignity and respect.My first patient was 90 years old and lived in a retirement village in Table View. He was very frail and used a walking frame as he had had a stroke before I became his carer. I took care of him for over three years and ran the household for him. he was then placed in frail care and he passed away a month later.My next patient was an eldery 93 year woman suffering from dementia living in the same retirement village in Table View. I took care of her for 10 months and she was still fairly active. I did the grocery shopping, purchased and dispensed all her medication. I cooked all the meals, cleaned the cottage and did all washing up of clothes and I did all the ironing. I took her to hospital and doctor's appointments.She was diagnosed with pneumonia and heart problems where she spent 3 weeks in a private hospital but was to weak to come home. She went into a frail unit in an old age home and she passed away a year later.My next patient was an elderly woman living in a retirement village in Muizemberg. I cooked her meals, did the grocery shopping and I took her for doctor's appointments. She had a bad fall and injured her foot and wore a boot and was in constant pain and I dispensed her medication. This was a temporay assignment. I left when my assignment was over. She also passed away a year later.My next patient was an 84 year old elderly man. I took care of him and his eldest son who were both not well. I did the grocery shopping, purchased and dispensed all his medication, tooked their meals and cleaned the flat and did the washing and ironing aand took him to doctor's appointments to improve his health. I took care of them both for 3 years. He has also passed away.My next patient was an elderly 76 year old elderly man living in the retirement village in Greyton. He had major hear surgery.
