Role Overview:
The Junior Reefer Technician Assistant will work closely under the guidance of senior technicians to assist in the inspection, basic maintenance, and repair of refrigerated containers. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically inclined individual with basic refrigeration knowledge who is eager to build a career in the logistics and cold chain industry.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in inspecting and diagnosing reefer container units

· Support preventative maintenance and minor repairs under supervision

· Help conduct pre-trip inspections and monitor temperature systems

· Assist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components

· Maintain accurate service records and assist with job documentation

· Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organised

· Learn and adhere to depot safety policies, OEM standards, and best practices

· Provide support to the senior technicians and operations team as needed

Minimum Requirements:

· N3/N4 technical certificate or relevant qualification in Refrigeration, Electrical, or Mechanical fields

· Basic understanding of refrigeration systems or prior training in technical environments

· Eagerness to learn and grow within a hands-on, technical role

· Familiarity with reefer brands (Carrier, Thermo King, Daikin, Star Cool) is advantageous

· Good communication skills and a positive attitude

· Physically fit and safety-conscious

· Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team

Role Summary:
The Estimator Assistant will support the preparation of cost estimates for container repairs and maintenance, ensuring pricing accuracy and timely client quotations. This role plays a key part in operational planning and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in compiling cost estimates for container repairs and refurbishments

· Input and maintain data in estimating and job tracking systems

· Review container condition reports and photographs to assess necessary repairs

· Liaise with inspectors and workshop teams to gather technical information

· Draft client quotations based on depot pricing structures and estimation guidelines

· Submit estimates timeously in line with customer SLAs

· Track quotation approval statuses and follow up where necessary

· Support the team with cost analysis and management reporting

Minimum Requirements:

· Previous experience in estimating, operations assistance, or finance support (logistics-related experience advantageous)

· Basic understanding of container structures and common repair types

· Strong administrative and numerical skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); depot or estimating system experience is a plus

· Good communication skills (both written and verbal)

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to work in a deadline-driven logistics environment

· Prior exposure to the container depot, logistics, or freight industry is an advantage

· Familiarity with IICL standards and estimation tools beneficial

Position Overview:
The Heavy-Duty Machine Handler & Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation of large-scale container handling machinery, including reach stackers, forklifts (empty and loaded), and top lifters. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining efficient yard operations and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate heavy-duty machinery (e.g., reach stackers, forklifts, top lifters) to load, offload, and stack containers

· Ensure accurate and safe container placement within the depot

· Conduct pre-operational equipment checks and report maintenance issues promptly

· Work closely with ground staff and depot controllers to coordinate movements

· Adhere strictly to safety procedures, equipment handling standards, and depot protocols

· Maintain clear records of equipment usage and tasks completed

· Report faults, damages, or incidents immediately

· Support general yard duties as needed during quieter periods

Minimum Requirements:

· Valid license/certification to operate heavy-duty container handling equipment (e.g., reach stacker, forklift)

· Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a container depot, terminal, or logistics yard environment

· Strong understanding of container yard operations and safety procedures

· Physically fit with excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail

· Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

· Reliable, punctual, and a cooperative team player

· Availability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required
