Dignified Simplicity is a self-sustainable community project in the making, and occupies around 6Ha of privately-owned land in Karkloof, KZN Midlands. Surrounding the central homestead and part of the larger 25Ha smallholding, we also do have additional plots available, currently not in use, and are willing to rent them out to interested parties who may wish to farm there on a small scale. Long term leases can be considered, or month to month depending on respective needs. The lands do have access to both dam and drinking (borehole) water, although there is no Eskom power supply or full fencing. These lands vary in size and aspect, and are rich soils, all free from chemicals and fertilisers having laid dormant for a few decades. Currently they have strong bio-diverse grazing on them. The largest piece of land is estimated at 3 Ha, and has a small wooden cabin that can immediately be occupied, although could also do with a little finishing off.
