Chatsmed Candlelight Nursing School has late interviews to candidates who wish to pursue a career in Higher Certificate in Nursing R.169. Libode (Mthatha) Campus and Durban campus are fully booked for next year 2026, we only have spaces at Stanger Campus and Eshowe Campus. This is the last opportunity that Chatsmed Candlelight Nursing School is opening to the community, South African Nursing Council only allows a certain number of students to be enrolled. We only have one intake in a year (January), if you miss the 2026 academic year, you will have to take a gap year and wait for 2027 academic year.
The Stanger and Eshowe Campuses has accommodation that is in good condition and 5-8 minute walk to/from the school. The minimum admission requirement is a passed grade 12 with the following subjects and scores:
1) Life Sciences – 50% or higher
2) Maths or Maths Lit – 40% or higher
3) English Language – 40% or higher
The late interviews of Higher Certificate in Nursing (R.169) has been planned as follows:
1) Now until January 2026, the interview starts at 09:00 and made up of written (80%) and oral (20%)
2) All campuses (Durban, Eshowe, Stanger & Mthatha) will be open for nurse interviews. Mthatha & Durban Campus are fully booked but the campuses will also conduct interviews for transport convenience but classes will be attended at Eshowe & Stanger Campuses.
The following items must be brought when coming for interviews:
1) Interview fee of R650 (we accept bank card and EFT payments) i.e. if a payment was made through EFT you need to bring a proof of payment. NB: Only candidates who meet the minimum admission requirement are allowed to make payments. There are strictly no refunds
2) Black pen
3) Certified copy of ID and Grade 12 results

I have been working in Constantia since January 2025 to current for a family as Nanny for their child who was 6 months old when they employed me.
