Good day My name is Nonkanyiso, a well trained and passionate Care giver who was trained at ROBIN TRUST here in Cape Town in 2014 and went on to be employed within their Old Age Home as a care giver form 2014 to 2020. I was very fortunate to handle various patients who had not so similar chronic condition. They included dementia patients, frail patients, patients on fatal cancer stages, patients with Parkinson illness,stroked patients etc. I worked both everyday and shift positions and performed various duties around the care facility which included: Sanitizing and cleaning the place Changing nappies, use of bedpan and assisting able patients for shower Bed changing and caring out full wash Assisting patients to eat and cleaning after Checking vitals eg blood pressure, sugar and pulse - properly recording all readings for the resident doctor and Sr, assisting nurses in ensuring patients take meds on time and properly, exercises etc. For ref at ROBIN TRUST, please do kindly contact the matron on 021 447 1565 and they will tell you so much about my unwavering professional work at the home and love for my work as a care giver. From 2020 to 2023, I was employed by NURSING SERVICES as a carer and provided home care services to patients in various suburbs. I was looking after their frail mom who had dementia and performed various duties to make her as comfortable as possible. I cleaned her room, changed bedding, made her healthy meals, made sure she eat well, helped with all bathrooms needs, checked her vitals, assisted her to take her medication on time and helped with errands and exercises etc, She sadly passed away..I will provide Son contact numbers on request. I have been helping out in Strandfontein for a family friend since late 2024 - part time as carer for his wife who has last stage cancer and requires help here and there when husband has errands and its not a full time position. I help with basic duties, from cleaning, making meals,,taking her medication and keeping her company. I can forward the husbands contact details on request as well. I am a very friendly and humble individual, well seasoned with carer work and do love making a dif in people's lives. I am good with peg feeding, dementia care, managing catheters/ colostomy bags, dressing wounds and have knowledge of minor medical gadgets.
