Real Bone Bridge Saddle (not synthetic bone) for Classical Guitars (80mm)High Quality Ox Bone NutNon CompensatedRight HandedFlat BasedSaddle SpecificationsLength x Width: 80mm x 3mmHeight: 9mm (low E)A saddle and nut replacement is one of the most simple but effective ways to improve the tone of your instrument.Ox Bone has a higher density than regular plastic or synthetic bone, providing improved sustain, resonance and clarity. Almost all high end guitars come with real ox bone nuts and saddles. most cheap entry level guitars come standard with plastic or synthetic bone.Bone also gives greater tuning stability in comparison to plastic, as well as being much more durable.Every guitar is different so you need to adjust the height by sanding the bottom of the bone saddle/nut on a flat surface with a piece of sand paper or on a belt sander. If your saddle height is too high you could have intonation issues, if it is too low you can have fret buzzing issues, please research how to get the correct height on a bone nut/saddle. At Valley Sound we also have a roller sander tool which makes the process easier, however it can not take a saddle larger than 76mm.Guitar parts available from our online store:

4 x Brass shims of various thicknesses to get the perfect angle on your guitar neck.If your neck angle is not correct it is impossible to get low action or get rid of buzz. Normally people use cardboard, paper, wood or other things to shim the neck but this can take away sustain, putting a piece of brass between 2 pieces of wood actually increases sustain. Easy Installation And Operation:Remove neck by taking out the screws at the backPlace the smallest size shim at the back of the pocket if your neck was angled too far forward, at the front of the pocket if your neck was angled too far backPut the neck back on and look down the neck from the body, Preferably you want it angled back ever so slightly, increase the shim size if there is not enough angle, ideally you want a -1° angleIf using the large size shim, use smaller sizes next to it to create a gradual slope and eliminate air gapsGuitar parts available from our online store:
