The bridge is slightly overwound for better balance.The 4 cord wires allow you to coil split the pickup into a single coil by grounding the red and white wires via a push pull pot or a toggle switch. If you do not wish to coil split then just ignore the red and white wires (we recommend putting a piece of tape around them) and connect the BLACK wire to your switch/volume and the GREEN wire to ground. The bare wire must go to ground with the green since this will act as shielding around the 4 other wires.
