A high quality electronic replacement / upgrade for Stratocaster style guitars with 3 single coil pickups, 1 humbucker and 2 single coils or 2 humbuckers and one single coil. Since the components are customizable you can chose your desired layout and values. The layout is a per Fender USA/MEX Standard strat. This will fit squier or other guitars but we can not guarantee the layout will be the same, the pots and switch need to be fixed to the plate, if you are unsure if this plate will fit onto your pickguard you can purchase one of our pickguards, all the pickguards we sell at Valley Sound for Strat will work.Comes standard with a Karman Vintage Style 5 way switch, Full Sized Brass Shaft Potentiometers (Either flat bottom or with the notch – depending what we have available). Complete with all electronics soldered with vintage spec cloth wire, neatly wired up and installed on a rigid aluminum grounding plate (helps eliminate electrical noise at the same time) all you need to do is disconnect your pickups and output jack from your old electronic assembly and fit this electronic assembly to your pickguard and reconnect the output jack and pickups to our solderless connector. It is easy to do, the connector is spring activated so you just press on the orange part with a screwdriver, insert the wire and release. All the ground wires go to the bottom terminals and each hot goes to top terminals. They will be colour coded so you know where to put the hot of each component:Output jack hot gets connected to the white terminalNeck pickup to the blue terminalMiddle pickup to the red terminalBridge pickup to the yellow terminalPlease note – You would need to add an extra 24 – 48 hours to the lead time when ordering our prewired pickguards or electronic assemblies as we make them specially for each order. These potentiometers are custom made for Valley Sound according to our spec. The shaft is solid brass is thicker than your standard 8mm shaft, the shaft has the USA / CTS thread of 9.5mm, if your mounting hole is 8mm (which is normally the standard size for Asian import guitars) then you will need to widen the hole for this pot to work. Karman pickups are high-quality pickups that come to the consumer at an affordable price, now you can upgrade your entry-level standard guitar pickups with something that sounds great without breaking the bank. Karman SLPA5 is a Single Coil pickup similar to a P90 pickup in a Les Paul / Humbucker size cover so it will fit perfectly in your guitar without modifications as long as you have routing for a humbucker. P90 pickups are considered by most as the best of both worlds between Stratocaster size single coils and humbuckers, you get the top-end clarity and chirp that you get from a Strat-type single coil and the mid-range punch and low-end roundness that you would get from a PAF Style humbucker. We can do solderless wiring harnesses and we can make any custom wiring assembly, browse the Valley Sound website for examples of other wiring configurations and mods we have done.SPECS:This standard solder-in wiring harness assembly comes with the following specs and components:– A250k Full Size Volume and Tone Potentiometers with brass shaft and USA CTS Spec (you need to enlarge your pot holes if you have an asian import pickguard – if you have a Valley Sound pickguard or USA Fender it will fit perfect.– Tone Pot 1 controlls Neck Pickup– Tone Pot 2 controlls Middle Pickup– Tone Capacitor Value: 0.022uF (or 22nf)– Vintage Style 5 way selector switch– Selector Switch tip: Black, Cream or White (White is Standard if you do not inform us of a different colour choice)Potentiometer knobs are not included, please purchase them separately should you require.PLEASE NOTE: Thin bodied guitars with shallow routing (such as Squier Bullet and Affinity) may not accommodate this larger than standard switch, you need at least 30mm routing depth, check the area where your switch goes, if the routing for your switch is 30mm or deeper you can fit this pickguard without additional routing to the body.
