DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform mechanical maintenance within a continuous manufacturing plant environmentConduct fault-finding, diagnostics, testing, and inspections on mechanical systemsWork on gears, motors, bearings, shafts, couplings, pumps, drives, and associated machine componentsPerform preventative and scheduled maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtimeExecute breakdown repairs under production pressureInspect, repair, replace, and install mechanical equipment and componentsMaintain accurate maintenance records and reportsSupport plant reliability and equipment optimisation initiativesParticipate in shutdown planning and executionEnsure compliance with safety, ISO, and environmental standardsWork shifts, weekend rotations, and standby duties as requiredCollaborate effectively with production, electrical, and supervisory teams EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Trade Tested Fitter (Red Seal essential)N4 N6 in Mechanical Engineering (adv)Minimum 35 years post-trade experience within a manufacturing / plant maintenance environmentStrong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic capabilityExperience in preventative and predictive maintenance systemsKnowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards (adv)Physically fit and capable of working in an industrial plant environmentGood communication skills across all levelsEmotionally stable, responsible, and able to
