This vintage 1960s German bead curtain is of natural antique German oak wood.
This curtain weighs 14kg and that alone proves the quality and durability of its material, design and construction.

21 strands that each contain 94 beads making a total of 1974 beads.
Large rectangle beads: 5cm x 2.5cm
Large cylindrical beads: 5cm x 2.5cm
Large "marble" beads: 3cm
The curtain is beautiful in appearance and provides a natural atmosphere in any setting.
Vintage wooden bead curtains can be used in living room, dining room, bedroom, garden, coffee shop, office, salon, hotel, bar, or as a room divider or even as a wall decoration.
My Mom has passed and I currently live as a roaming traveller without a fixed abode. Rather than see this beautiful curtain go to ruin in storage, I rather hope that it will provide a discerning collector a treasured find.
Given the curtain’s age [60+ years], construction of antique German oak wood and comparing its allure to modern versions I have priced it at R2,000.00 with the rationale that such price equates to R1.00 per bead.

A beautiful gold framed Royal Paris vintage needlepoint tapestry of French artist Jean-Baptiste Huet's 'La Laitière' or The Milkmaid.
JB Huet (1745-1811) was an eighteenth-century painter, engraver, and designer best known for his animal, nature, and pastoral scenes in the Rococo manner, influenced by François Boucher.
The large scale [915mm x 760mm] of the tapestry, striking wooden frame and juxtaposition of bright and earthy colors make a statement piece of this needlepoint.
Yarn colors include, but are not limited to, olive, army green, mustard, bright orange, blush pink, raspberry, lavender, and taupe.

The needlepoint tapestry is in an exceptional vintage condition, with all yarn intact. The inner linen mat is in Mint Condition with no discolouration, which is normally typical of such vintage items. The tapestry has vividly striking and unaltered colours.
There are a few tiny imperfections on the frame corners.
Value: This is a rare Belgian/French vintage needlepoint.

A concourse clean example of a Pride Mobility Scooter (USA).
This GoGo Elite was my Mom’s scooter that she had bought on the whim of a friend who suggested that “maybe we’ll need one of these, one day.”
My Mom was blessed with good health and never used the GoGo herself. Rather she used it to assist her friends with ailments go get to the dining room.
This GoGo was never used beyond the walkways of her retirement home assisting her friends to and from the dining room to their rooms.

My Mom came to live with me when she became ill and as such the GoGo hasn’t had a “run” for 14 months.
