We are looking for a Supply and Demand Planner to join our
dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for forecasting demand,
planning inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products to meet
customer demand while minimizing costs and optimizing inventory turnover. The
Supply and Demand Planner will play a critical role in coordinating with
various departments to develop accurate forecasts, manage inventory levels, and
identify opportunities for improvement within the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical
data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams.
2. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams
to gather relevant information and incorporate it into demand forecasts.
3. Analyze demand patterns, seasonality, and other factors
to anticipate changes in demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
4. Create and maintain inventory replenishment plans to
ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
5. Monitor inventory levels and work closely with suppliers
to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
6. Identify and resolve supply chain issues, such as
production delays, transportation disruptions, or supplier shortages, to
minimize impact on operations.
7. Utilize inventory management software and other tools to
track inventory levels, monitor performance metrics, and generate reports for
management review.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize
supply chain processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce lead times.
9. Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and
regulatory changes that may impact demand or supply chain operations.
10. Continuously evaluate and refine supply chain strategies
to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations
research, business administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in supply chain planning, demand
forecasting, or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing
environment.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret
data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the
ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
5. Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP
systems, and Microsoft Excel.
6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time
management skills.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt
to changing priorities.
8. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous
improvement methodologies is a plus.
