We are in
search of an individual that is able to add value to our production processes.
Minimizing waste and ensuring packaged product is kept to a high standard. Full
understanding of waste effects on end product costs.
You
will need to have a good track record with contactable references. Working
within a food plant production with 5+ years would be preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R10 000,00 per month
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure
facility and staff complies at all times with relevant audit standard.
Responsible for Cost control,
the efficient allocation of resources, risk management, and the effective
gathering of information for business decisions.
Ensuring that pre-determined
stock level is not exceeded
Maintaining and updating the inventory
stock counts and ensuring staff are informed and have easy access to it.
Control surplus stock, ensuring
a FIFO method.
Product Quality:
Co-ordinating the purchasing of
all stock for the business.
Take responsibility in terms of
quality assurance and quality control for all for all products inside the
facility.
Ensure that all products
manufactured are of unfailing quality, as per product specifications and
customer expectation.
Ensure that all raw materials
conform to specification as per production and customer requirements.
Ensuring that general day to day
QC tasks are done.
Coordinate and monitor the work
of various departments involved in production, warehousing and distribution of
goods. Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensure quality of
products. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. Manage
maintenance of equipment and machinery. Provide technical support where
necessary.
Reporting any deviations to the
Quality Manager.
Other:
Maintain housekeeping standards
to ensure a clean and safe workplace
Handle all complaints and
queries from staff and channel to the relevant manager, deal with workplace
conflict

REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of production experience within the food industryGrade 12 and higher. Computer literateExperienced in food safety audits – FSSC, HACCP, etcDrivers license – advantageousAn understanding of production yieldsKnowledge of bakery and cooking equipment.
