I'm looking for a new challenge. I am currently employed as an Operations manager - Overseeing all the day to day activities. Production / Logistics / Business development / Staff - Amongst other duties. Noticeable achievements - Reduced overheads by 30% / Pushed turnover up by 40 + %. Reasons for seeking a new challenge to be discussed in person. Previous company - FMCG Production manager / Maintenance manager / Fleet management. Overseeing a staff compliment of 60 personal. Noticeable achievements - Increased productivity / labour absorption by 40%. Prior to Covid - I owned my own fleet of construction trucks (Tippers) Various combinations which I managed for 6 years successfully. Noticeable achievement - Grew from 1 horse and trailer to 8 x vehicles. Unfortunately was not easy to get back to capacity quick enough post covid. Decided to move from JHB to Cape Town and try out a new way of living. My first introduction into the working world was through my Old man's business (5 years) - Production of OEM accessories for heavy duty commercial vehicles / trucks. (Bull bars / Windscreen protectors / Tank skirts to name a few of the mainline items - Supplied in Stainless steel / Powder coated / Chrome plated. Working along side my old man he introduced me to all the aspects of the business world. Worth more than any degree would have taught me. Why I'm mentioning the above is to highlight business knowledge and understanding of how they need to operate from a young age. Worked my way from the bottom to basically running the business. Reason for moving on is we received a buy out offer from a bigger firm which we accepted. (Started my own business) About me. Age 36. I am entrepreneurial at heart and enjoy tough challenges (overhaulling old systems and creating better more efficient processes. I have a good eye / attention detail. Self motivated. Good conflict management skills. Well balanced EQ. Problem solver. Critical thinker. Ability to motivate others. Good with numbers. Good negotiating skills. Handyman skills. Code 14 licence / valid PDP and DGP. Superlink experience. First aid / fire fighting certificate. Valid forklift licence 3000kg. Co2 welding.
