The depot supervisor will manage the Germiston or Richard’s Bay depot. The depot will service the needs of collect, walk-in and cash customers, as well as small truck deliveries to customers surrounding the depot locations. The goal of the depot supervisor is to ensure the site is managed cost effectively and efficiently through the team on site to provide outstanding customer service and experience.

Duties:
Customer service
Understand the products and services we offer as a business.Handle all counter sales for collection, walk-in and cash customers.Maintain accurate documentation, record and file all paperwork for customer service activities and discussions.Align with existing customer service procedures, policies and standards.Elicit customer feedback to improve service offering at the depot.Assist to coordinate and manage customer focused activities aimed at promoting the business e.g. promotional days, training days, product launches, customer visit days etc.
Operations
Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to by everyone on site (customers, employees and transporters).Supervise day-to-day operations of the depot.Develop and manage the approved budget for the depot to ensure costs are lower or in line with the budget.Analyse cost variances to understand cost drivers and implement solutions to prevent cost creep or excessive expenditure.Improve processes to increase efficiency of the depot.Develop an operating framework that will continuously run even if some team members are absent, to ensure daily operations are not affected.Work hand in hand with customer service, planning and logistics teams to ensure activities run smoothly at the depot.

As the Business Manager - Finance, you will be based in Richards Bay, South Africa. The main purpose of the role will be to provides high quality, timely and efficient financial and sales support to the day-to-day operations and international finance team. They will act as a point of contact for external accounting support as well as liaising with the Australian Finance team to ensure that all financial processing is completed in alignment with corporate governance. They will recommend and implement improvements in alignment with the Australian Finance Team and Global Sales team to the Finance and Sales Order processing team respectively. The Business Manager will play the necessary leadership role at the Richards Bay facility in the absence of the Regional Operations Manager.
KEY FUNCTIONS
* Manage effective and efficient finance and sales order processing duties as required by the RSA operations.
* Oversee/create projects and orders within JDEGS to improve efficiency
* Quarterly stock takes Cycle Counts
* Liaison with appropriate parties in Downer Finance and Business Service Centre for payments of accounts payable.
* Report the monthly and annual financial performance of the division
* Understand and analyze results, question the costing and variance analysis where applicable
* Preparation of the monthly/annual forecasts, both financial and cash flow.
* Assist with the preparation of Statutory Reports.
* To provide accurate and meaningful information on production activities, production costs, overhead costs and productivity to management and to ensure the accurate allocation of costs.
* Oversee and champion the development of procedures, policies and internal controls to ensure efficient business processes to support the delivery of the companys business objectives.
* Establish and monitor benchmarks for the teams performance and success.
* Work together with senior team members to align operating systems to support the business goals.
ABOUT YOU
* Qualifications: CA(SA), CIMA, ACMA Preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years demonstratable experience of working in a manufacturing environment
* Experience in strategic planning and execution will be an advantage
* Experience in developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
* Ability to analyse and interpret financial data
* Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects
* Exceptional professional written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
