Job Requirements:INVENTORY MANAGEMENT• Develop strategic, tactical, and operational production plans to effectively and efficiently convert inputs into outputs at the most economical cost and the quality required.• Manage the Technical Department and the plant and machinery to achieve the maximum output possible – thereby establishing production capabilities of both manpower and machinery.• Expenditure on technical resources to be managed economically, without compromising on quality, standards and safety. Historical data I.T.O Expenditure is to be examined and objectives set to ensure plant & maintenance programmes are maintained cost effectively and considering all existing measures already in place.• Responsible for quality control, from quality of input raw material to quality of finished products – all outputs must be in accordance with specifications laid down.• Preparation and presentation of reports to assist in the process of decision making – as required by the CEO.• Formulate Cost Reduction Programmes for:• WAGE EXPENSES• OVERTIME EXPENSES• PLANT MAINTENANCE COSTSTo Achieve this by studying current costs & reports and together with the CEO -set up targets to reduce with time frame within which to achieve.• Manage Production - Must be achieved in terms of Maximum Production Capability of machinery as per machinery specification / output.• Responsible and Accountable for Stock Control: Raw Material Stock, Work in Progress and Finished Goods stocks - which may be in external physical locations and on the ERP system.• Responsible for Stock Take and Variances.• Maintain ISO 9001 QUALITY• MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS) Standards with objective of continual Improvement.• Waste Management: Quantify, monitor and reduce waste.
