Warehouse Manager Chemical - GautengJob SummaryAn established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking the above to actively Manage the Warehouse operations for Seed and Crop Protection products including functions for distribution and warehouse activities in a sustainable manner, ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations governing warehouse operations and dispatch.Minimum requirements for the role:Must have a degree in Logistics or DistributionAt least 8 years’ experience in Distribution and Warehousing is requiredPrevious management experience is essentialMandatory computer literacy with SAP knowledgePrevious handling of the Seed and Agri-input chemicals will be an advantageThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Ensuring on-time and cost-efficient delivery of finished goods to customers by collaborating with country management, Warehouse and Distribution leadership.Adopting relevant plans and executing the Warehouse and Distribution Operations procedure to allow a safe and economical Warehousing and Distribution environment.Contributing to the development of strategies for Distribution and Warehousing, Inventory, Transport and HSE as well as challenging systems and procedures to continually improve distribution and warehousing processes.Maintaining proper stock control and ensuring that stock write-offs due to stock redundancies and damages are kept to a minimum.Ensuring proper stock rotation (First Expiry First Out), proper stock handling, as well as eliminating storage practices that lead to deterioration of stock quality.Contributing to a safe working environment by ensuring that hazardous materials are stored according to regulatory requirements and all HSE programs are participated in.Ensuring HSE standards and procedures, safe practices, good housekeeping standards, Responsible Care requirements and safe destruction of waste are being adhered to.Investigating and reporting all incidents.Managing and training of team members regarding safe handling of forklifts, SOP’s, safety requirements, Operational Excellence and any other initiatives which may arise.Providing support to the regional commercial teams to meet area business transactional requirements as well as providing outstanding Customer Service support to the distribution network.Preparing yearly Budget for relevant cost center/s and control expenses within the cost center and initiate cost savings in all distribution and warehouse activities.Managing all TMS activities, including carrier tariffs and queries.Tracking performance measurements (KPI’s) to optimize order and logistics fulfilment.Leading, developing and steering performance of the warehouse team as well as temporary labour.Performing facilities management 16.2 duties, ensuring the facility HSE programme is aligned to local legislation, leading site safety committee meetings and weekly walks.Reporting and following up on all non-conformities i.e. site maintenance, equipment maintenance and employee issues.C
