Bushmanland is a region located south of the Orange River, west of Kenhardt, and east of Springbok (in Namaqualand), within the Northern Cape province of South Africa. The semiarid area features deep, permeable sand beds with a vegetational cover consisting of perennial grasses, low-lying shrubs, and thorny woodlands. Kenhardt, a small town, is situated within this area, approximately 120 km south of Upington, the regions largest town. Despite the arid landscape, Kenhardt is characterized by a lush green belt. The dry land also has a fascinating feature - the monotony of brown sand is broken only by black dolerite boulders. This farm spans 3386 hectares with an LSU of 1:39 and comprises two title deeds sold as one unit. The property is divided into ten manageable camps, each with drinking water points, some with more than one, and water is stored in dams and plastic tanks. The water is then distributed and managed for various issues. The fencing, which is 1.2 meters high, is in satisfactory condition. Three sides are jackal-proofed, while the other is stock-proof with an eight-wire fence. The grazing area comprises mixed sweet grasses, shrubs, succulents, and thorny bushes. There is a small uninhabited house on the farm that a new owner can renovate to serve as an overnight lodging, hunting cabin, or tourist accommodation, which could generate additional income. However, the structure does require some repairs. This farm is available for purchase either as a standalone unit or in conjunction with other units from the same seller. It is possible to acquire the farm as a going concern.Take advantage of this opportunity! This 63 ha thoroughbred horse farm is situated approximately 12 km from Robertson, close to the R62, in one of the many picturesque valleys that abound in the Langeberg region. Being close to two of the major stud farms in the country, it is a short drive to some of the best stallions. Panoramic views over Sandberg, lower hills and the majestic Langeberg, add to the beauty of the farm. The top-end of the farm, surrounding the large storage dam, is still unspoilt level renosterveldt of approximately 15 ha. Should the need arise to have this arable land developed too, approval from Environmental Affairs will be required. For now, one can look forward to spring when this veldt boasts spectacular displays of bright pink, yellow and orange flowers and succulents in bloom. Here one can take long walks with the family dogs, and also horse ride year-round. To the north, the property borders on an immensely beautiful nature reserve that offers surprise sightings of wildlife. Game-fencing separates the nature reserve from the property, while antelope droppings and tracks at the two dams are proof of nocturnal visits from the small game.12 ha of cultivated land are divided into 6 grassed paddocks that are irrigated via underground, pop-op sprayers. 10 ha of dry paddocks have electric tape-fencing between wooden poles. All the paddocks are equipped with auto-filled water points. In 2022, following two years of crop rotation, 3.5 ha was seeded again with lucerne. These fields yield approximately 450 bales per cut, up to 6 cuts per annum. These too, are irrigated by an underground irrigation system.3.6 ha of well-established Shiraz vineyards, under drip irrigation, produce approximately 12 tonnes of grapes per annum. A top-rated winery near Bonnievale has an annually renewable partnership agreement to produce and store the wine, bottled under a special label for personal use and sales. Currently 6,000 bottles are produced per annum.Water is supplied from the Breede River, the registered rights being 10 ha, as part of a shared scheme totalling 50 ha. A large, jointly-owned pump is normally used for pumping to the separation point. The farm owns the pump set up at the separation point, as well as a smaller pump for own use at the river. An Eskom line supplies 3 Phase electricity from two transformers. The farm house is modern, with an open-plan, double-volume living area and kitchen. An office/third bedroom upstairs overlooks the nature reserve and the Langeberg mountains. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite), a full-length deep verandah and double garage with access to the scullery, enhance this architect-designed home. Boesmanland farm for sale. This livestock farm of 6000ha (2 x title deeds) is available to buy in the Boesmanland in the Kenhardt district of the Northern Cape. Bushmanland is a region in the Northern Cape, South Africa. The region stretches from Calvinia in the south to the Orange River in the north and east, Namaqualand in the west, and the Sak River and the Hartbees River in the east. The towns of Brandvlei , Pofadder, and Aggeneys, lie in Bushmanland. The landscape consists of extensive plains that are interrupted by insel mountains. The name of the region is derived from its former inhabitants, the Bushmen (San population group).Bushmanland is an arid and dry area bordering Namaqualand. The soil is less fertile, and the groundwater has high salinity. The flora and fauna, although rare, are of great importance. Although the veld is too dry to bloom (as on the west coast of Namaqualand), the plants that emerge are unusual and often of breathtaking beauty. This farm is about 120km southwest of Kakamas and 120km west of Kenhardt and 100km north of Brandvlei. This area is very isolated and private with almost no traffic on the local gravel roads. The farm with LSU of 1:45 is used for red meat production with Dorper and Meatmaster sheep the main breeds used. Although in a dryer area of the Northern Cape, the area has been successfully used over the past years to produce the highest quality meat. The farm is subdivided into 29 camps. These smaller camps make management easy and can vegetation be managed very successfully. Water is supplied by 9 boreholes with windmills (3), a solar pump (1), and 4 boreholes not currently used. Of the 4 unused boreholes, 3 have strong water with the 4th not so much. This water is then stored in dams (6), earth dams (8), and water tanks (4). All camps have water access as water is distributed across the farm with about 15km of plastic piping. Vegetation consists of shrubs, succulents, and mixed grasses. The farm has 5 sheep-handling facilities. The game area (900ha) with a higher fence (1.8 m and 2.1m) is suitable for some common game. Only a small distance of the fence is not finished. Most fencing is in satisfactory condition with some maintenance needed at some places. The property has a vacant house attached to the shed. This house is empty for over 12 years with some restoration needed if someone wants to make it a permanent residence. The building is however still in very good condition, a sign of good masonry. The house has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining rooms, an office, and an underground store room. The property has 2 sheds. One is connected to the house and the 2nd is a shed to store animal feeds. The sale has no animals included and is VAT payable.VAT must be added to the listing price.Property Reference #: RL6216Agent Details:Kassel van den BergAgrisell PTY Ltd9A Kerk StreetPiketberg7320
