Lovely new cabin built on 2500 square meters.
Price reduced. Was asking R485,000. Now R385.000. (28 March 2024)
Brilliant site for water sports activities. Ski boats, yachting, fishing, swimming.
Owner health stopped this development. Therefore selling our dream project, our happy place. Will not take much to ready this home for habitation.
This land could easily be subdivided into 6 smaller home sites.
Several fruit bearing trees on property, including Mangos and Citrus.
Excellent large local grazing areas. Property includes more than 2 hectares across the road alongside river and dam, and this goes with the house too.
New high quality wooden cabin completely built over June/July 2023. Has 10 year structural guarantee from GR Cabins in Pinetown. 2,4m high walls. With Zinc-Aluminuim corrugated roofing, which does not rust. Insulated with polystyrene sheets. We were considering making an upstairs guest bedroom, above the lounge area.
Floors painted with triple coating of top quality clear deck varnish, providing scratch resistance while enhancing the wooden beauty.
Electricity : Can apply for Eskom supply. We were going install solar panels on the roof, to charge batteries, connected to an inverter system, providing power to an electrical distribution board inside the home. Then powering up plug sockets and lights.
Water : Can apply for municipal supply. Area piping not reliable. Could pump domestic water from river, which is on our boundary. Or sink a borehole, likely no more than 20 meters, we were informed.
However, the water arrangements we had made was for the local municipal water truck to come top up our water tank, whenever requested, at R250 a month. Cheaper than borehole pump, or pumping from river. Plus municipal truck water is already filtered treated water, good for washing, bathing and drinking.
We had planned going completely off-grid, prior to health limitations demanding reprioritizing time and funds.
Gutters already fitted. No drainage pipes attached to house yet.
Rain collection tank concrete base is already on site.
Automatic water pressure pump was to be mounted under the house.
Water heating was to be an LPG gas geyser, also known as an instant water heater, mounted outside.
The large en suite bathroom can accommodate a lovely large shower and/or bath, toilet, basin, and even a washing machine.
Septic tank with soak pit, also known as a french drain, is already installed, outside the bathroom.
The home is incomplete. But comfortable and ready to personalize to your needs.
