The first step in cleaning a computer keyboard is to unplug it and turn it upside down and lightly tap the different corners to get most of the loose dirt out. If there is still muck left behind, you can brush with a specially designed keyboard brush or discarded toothbrush. The next step is to blast away the remaining dust by using canned air. You can also go the cleaning gel or cleaning gum route and if you are able to disassemble the keycaps, you can wash each one - just ensure they are dried properly before reassembly.
