The purpose of this position will be to render cost and management accounting support to the business; including collating information for timeous and accurate reporting; streamlining existing processes and paper trails to reduce the risk of human error and improve speed of information delivery; ensuring all reports balance and documenting the investigation of variances; and engaging with a Management Accountant through presentation of the monthly commercial report and follow-up sessions where appropriate in order to provide the business with the tools to make informed strategic decisions, implement change and maximise profitability.

* Rendering cost and management accounting support to the business
* Collating information for timeous and accurate reporting

* Ensuring all reports balance and documenting the investigation of variances

* Developing a broad knowledge base of the organisational processes and policies
* Staying fully informed of operational objectives, performance and critical trends
* Analysing and explaining
* Providing monthly commentary for submission to management
* Understanding the ABC model and cost drivers
* Understanding the SAP cost centres and uploading to TM1 to assist in variance explanations
* Assisting with annual escalations, efficiency measures and contracts
* Performing revenue reconciliations to assist in investigations and audits to support accuracy and completeness of revenue
* Providing commentary on the monthly reporting packs and variance analysis
* Analysing costs against budgets and forecasts
* Providing input driving optimisation of efficiencies in the depot environment
* Analysing actual KPIs versus budget and work with the teams to address areas of non-conformance or concern proactively and timeously
* At least 2 years cost and management accounting experience, including commercial reporting and costing
* 3 Year Degree in Accounting (at least a Btech in Management Accounting)
* Preferably a B.Com or equivalent and studying towards CIMA/CA
* Sound financial and numerical acumen with commercial accounting experience
* Advanced MS Excel and working experience on SAP and TM1
* Experience using Power BI will be an advantage
* At least 2 years cost and management accounting experience, including commercial reporting
