Our client, a leading name in the electronics industry seeks a dynamic and experienced Configuration Clerk to join their team, based in Durban. The successful incumbent must have minimum Matric and a good knowledge of manufacturing and procurement processes. Job Description: • Filing • Create and issue Job Cards on PIP and Syspro with relevant data (correct Revision data, issue to stores) • Check routing information with Sales or Technical for new builds • Assist in loading and verify customer BOMs onto Syspro. • Resolve customer purchase order queries • Request quotations and price negotiations for consumables • Attach correct revision build information to job cards. • Resolve any BOM and/or Documentation queries and update the data folder • Maintain ECO System (Engineering Change Order System) • Load sales orders on Syspro • Update sales and correspondence sheet • Closing off PIP job cards on the PIP system • Min/max report to be run twice a week and Items that are below the minimum level are placed on order. • Place orders as required by the buyer and souring of items • Expediting on urgent orders • Sourcing consumables and R&D items. • Manage and Maintain Documents of External Origin file. • Return to supplier process • Assist in item coding BOMs • Loading new product information onto PIP • Vendor applications • Free issue invoices • Quoting on BOMs Educational Requirements : Min Matric Experience Requirements : Knowledge of manufacturing process and procurement process Job Requirements: • Full understanding of electronic components • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word,) Syspro would be an advantage • Critical thinking and negotiation skills • Strong communication skills • Supply chain management

Minimum requirements for the role: A BComm Supply Chain or BTech degree or relevant tertiary qualification in the Chemical Process Planning Environment or Industrial Engineering is essential for this role.Previous experience having worked within a production planning role or related role in a chemical environment is essential.Previous experience working on SAP or a related ERP system is preferred, a SAP Superuser would be advantageous.Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.Must have strong communication skills.Stochastic/lP modeling would be an advantage. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
