GOLF OPERATIONS MANAGER / EAST LONDON – The Golf Operations Manager will collaborate and report to the Golf Director. The successful Candidate must be flexible with working times – Weekends and Public Holidays are essential for this role.
Minimum Requirements
Must have valid drivers and own vehicle
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Clubmaster
PGA of South Africa Qualification is an asset
Must be flexible as working hours vary

Experience in golf club management and retail
Responsibilities:
Administer all point of sales with regards to green fee and cart sales, merchandise sales, and membership invoicing;
Oversees golfers check ins in a timeous manner;
Reconciles tee sheets on a daily basis and provides updates to the Food and Beverage Department;
Resolves discrepancies as it applies to duplicate charges and over or under payment.;
Promotes all club golf activities;
Prepares for all golf days and golf events including coordinating scorecards, cart labels; rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, pairing sheets and hole assignments;
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance;
Plays golf with the members of all skill levels to generate enthusiasm;
Consults with the green keeper regarding the golf course lay out, practice areas, operations and club maintenance;
Plans social events to promote golf and fellowship among members and guests;
Develops short- and long-term plans and improvements to the golf club;
Organises and conduct club tournaments and other related events;
Interprets and enforces club rules, policies and regulations;
Maintains a clean, orderly, and well-stocked Pro shop.
Procures merchandise in a timeous manner after budget approval
Performs other duties as required.
Salary – Market related
Hours of work - Vary according to company requirements however mainly 06:30 – 16:00.
Weekend/Public Holiday hours are required.
Two days off will be allocated accordingly.

Job Purpose
Responsible for managing all F&B and banqueting/events operations and for delivering an excellent guest experience. Forecast, plan and manage all F&B orders, staff, and finance. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education (essential):
Culinary School Diploma or Hospitality Management Diploma
Minimum education (desirable):
Degree in Hospitality Management or Food Service Management or related field
Minimum applicable experience (years):
5 years
Required nature of experience:
Proven food and beverage management experience.Event or function management experience.Working knowledge of various computer software programs i.e., MS Office and restaurant management software (Club Master, Smart Trade).Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices.Multiple outlet experience as well as banqueting experience up to 400 Pax.Ability to run more than one function at the same time.

Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.Mastery in delegating multiple tasks.Communication and leadership skills.Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets.Guest-oriented and service-minded.Strong leadership needed to take charge of this department.Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision.
