JOB DESCRIPTION
The General Assistant (GA) will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:Efficiently offloading all materials from customer bins, crates, trolleys, bakkies, trucks etc.Accurately sorting materials/commodities for relocation to stock stations/areas in the yard at all timesEnsure that trucks are properly packed and loaded and that no material is compromised or hanging over the truck when required to do soEnsure that all materials are removed from the scale before commencing next transaction at all timesAssist with preparing and packing bale bags for stock taking when required to do soLiaise and assist Branch Manager with various ad hoc duties i.e. stock taking etc. when requiredIdentify any stolen or inferior material/commodities to the Branch Manager immediately at all times
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE
A minimum Grade 12 certificate.2-3 years applicable working experience

The Cashier/Administrator’s primary purpose is to provide administrative support to our operations.
He/she will also be required to:
Accurately identify commodities/correct grading and weigh commodities as the grade specifies.Ensure that an accurate weighbridge ticket is generated after every transaction.Ensure accurate weight deductions are made for all bins, crates, trolleys, bakkies, etc. for all weighbridge tickets.Accurately process all weighbridge tickets.Count and reconcile cash each day.Accurately pay scrap customers and dealers.Managing large cash receipts and payments accurately.Effective and efficient time management.Generate and maintain various reports.General office administration.
