replaced. Heating coils may overheat and fail.
Siliphos protects water systems in hotels, public buildings, private
households and industry against scale formation and corrosion.Siliphos prevents “brown” water and clogged pipes.Siliphos saves expensive repairs or even replacement of water pipes, boilers, heaters, cooling systems, ect…Siliphos saves energy and money.Siliphos extends the life of water installations.
Soft Water is aggressive on metals and causes corrosion. Consequently
the tap water turns brown. Leaks and burst pipes may be the result.
Siliphos prevents scale and stops corrosion. It utilizes the
phenomenon that very low concentrations of poly phosphates are sufficient
to inhibit the deposition of scale onto metallic surfaces. Because of
its phosphate and silicate content Siliphos also inhibits corrosion by
forming a thin protective layer on the metal surface. On the condition
that a Siliphos concentration of 2-3 ppm is sufficient to achieve both
these effects.Siliphos will also slowly remove existing scale in old pipes, even

media. Firstly one of the advantages of Calcite water treatment is its
self-limiting property. When properly applied, it corrects pH only
enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium. However it does not over
correct under normal conditions. Up until contact with Calcite media,
acidic waters slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate to raise the pH
which reduces the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals
found in typical plumbing systems. At this instant back washing will
prevent packing, reclassify the bed and maintain high service rates.
Depending on pH, water chemistry and service flow, the Calcite bed will
have to be periodically replenished as the Calcite media is depleted.
As the Calcite’s calcium carbonate neutralizes the water. Hence this
will increase hardness and a softener may become necessary after the
neutralizing filter.Calcite media can be effectively combined with Clack Corosex to combine
