Hi All, Are you looking for a unique and special gift for our loved ones. Why not spoil them with something that will last a life time and will only increase in value? Something to be treasured for years to come.Entering Eden – The deeper meaning of my paintingMuch has been said about Eden and very few facts remain unknown. We all know the only way into Eden is to leave this world behind. At the top left of the painting, you will find two clouds. The top cloud is a white tortoise that has welcomed a Manta-ray. The Manta-ray is dying because the “wings” of the Manta-ray is changing from black to white indicating a physical change. If you look at the mountains at the back and the 1st line of trees/shrubs – you will see I used fairy tale book colours. Colours like you would find in a child’s storybook with pictures. As the painting comes forward the more realistic the colours and objects become. At the rocks and waterfall, I make a statement, Eden need not be a fairy tale – it can be a reality. If you look at the water as it plunges from the waterfall into the water below you will note the bubbling and churning of the water underneath the surface. Have you ever seen this before in a painting? These ripples push the water forward to the river sand. The ripples of sand can also clearly be seen under the water – showing the transparency of the water through which you can see the rippling sand. This in conjunction with the tortoise and Manta-ray addresses the issue of much need for transparency in this world we live in.What if I can say to you – Eden is a place of absolute transparency. All knowledge of everything is now at your feet. If you look at the rock feature in the middle of the waterfall you will note this rock structure looks like a mannequin of a lady standing with a dress on typical of the dress style from the 1500s. This symbolizes the simplicity and brilliance of life in those times. To be worthy of entering Eden we need to revert to the simplicity and basics of life. The abovementioned mannequin has no head because it is a statement saying, we can’t begin to understand what would be possible in Eden. In short – you will know and understand everything. The Kingfisher is the very first bird I have ever done and is also typically associated with birds of paradise.
