Kaaimans River Cottage is located on the banks of the famous Kaaimans River. The cottage is only accessible by rowing boat or canoes, (provided by us) so you need to have an adventurous spirit. You have direct access from your door (via boat/canoe) to the beautiful secluded Kaaimans beach, the secret waterfall and to unique river kloofing, making for a truly unforgettable outdoor holiday in the heart of the Garden Route.This 3-bedroom cottage is able to accommodate 8 people and has 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, while the other 2 bedrooms have 2 single beds each. There is a double sleeper couch in the loft area.The cottage also comprises a kitchen, lounge, dining area, a covered verandah and an open deck. The cottage offers off-grid living. Solar power provides adequate electricity for basic needs such as lights at night as well as enough power to charge phones and run a laptop or two for some hours. The stove, fridge and hot water system are all gas-powered.The property is pet-friendly by prior arrangement for well-behaved pets. Note that it isnt fenced, however, the river provides a barrier so that dogs cannot reach the road unless they swim. The cottage is rural and ideal for those who enjoy being in the outdoors. People who like camping and hiking will love it here.Because you need to cross the river to access the cottage, be prepared that the weather can sometimes play a part in your stay - crossing the river in the rain is all part of the fun.
